[My headcanon for Trigun: Vash is intersex]

Vash, the protagonist of Trigun Stampede, is a complex and multifaceted character. An interesting interpretation is that he might be intersex and hermaphroditic. Vash is a Plant, an interdimensional being that does not follow the same biological rules as humans. His youthful and unchanging appearance, despite his advanced age, already suggests a unique biology.

Additionally, Vash demonstrates gender fluidity in his actions and behaviors. He exhibits characteristics traditionally associated with both genders, such as strength and compassion, courage and sensitivity. This combination of attributes can be seen as a representation of an intersex identity, where physical and hormonal characteristics do not fit typical definitions of male or female.

Vash's nature as a Plant can also be interpreted as a metaphor for intersexuality. Plants often have both male and female reproductive structures, which can be an analogy for Vash's condition. Backstory:

Vash's backstory is a captivating yet heartbreaking tale. Born into a destitute Muggle family alongside his twin brother Nai, they were the only ones in their large brood to possess magical abilities. Despite their shared upbringing, Vash and Nai took divergent paths in their magical education. While Vash reveled in camaraderie and levity, earning a reputation as the class clown, Nai excelled academically, driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge and power. Tensions between the brothers escalated when Nai sought forbidden knowledge to further enhance his abilities, leading to a confrontation that ultimately ended in tragedy. I have a question for fans of Trigun '98 who have read the manga. Does the manga provide any explanation about the origin of the Plants, how the Independents were created, or about the space colonies?

Gonna build on what was written out here by @jellys-compendium due to how much I enjoyed their post.

Creature!Vash finding his way to where Dragon!Adelha currently is swimming along the coast. Their eyes meet for the creature to just fumble and tumble into the water with loud chirps and squeaks. Thankfully, the dragon is able to get him to the sandy shore for both to sunbathe.

Dragon!Adelha finding an abandoned boat to coax Creature!Vash to sit in. So she pushes the boat far out to sea for them to head for her island home. Lots of pretty fish swim by and a few mermaids visit to play.

Creature!Vash falls in love with the island and all it's wonderful gardens. Lots of things to see and find (and eat). Dragon!Adelha enjoys his enthusiasm and pure joy of discovery. Even when he eats bad mushrooms and is left with a tummy ache for a day.

Creature!Vash just LOVES the two little pets that Dragon!Adelha has adopted. Wesson the puppy is a bit timid around this odd bird creature. But Aqua the kitten is over the moon with cuddling Vash and chasing him around.

Dragon!Adelha ends up showing her human form first. Which leaves Vash spellbound and at a loss to make any real noise for a good minute. But Adelha just hums to gently pet his face feathers.

Creature!Vash has to learn how to shift into a human form. It takes a LOT of practice and a few weeks of wearing the poor bird boy. But he does succeed. Albeit forgetting he would need clothes after. Much blushing and noise making.

When the yearly family reunion happens with Dragon!Adelha's Fae family, the ensemble of mostly vampires are glad to meet Creature!Vash and immediately welcome him into their family. Vash also gets to meet a newborn human baby that Adelha's adopted father has taken in. Vash is star struck and spend a full day just watching this tiny waif with pure love in his eyes.

A few years pass before Creature!Vash and Dragon!Adelha choose to travel the world. Once Vash is sure he can hold a human form for more than a few hours at a time without incident. By the time they get back to the island, the two have adopted four more puppies. Possibly because puppies just adore Vash as much as he loves them. Who knows.

Creature!Vash ends up as Dragon!Adelha's mate after they've been together on the island for over a decade. With them adopting various children who have special needs or have no one else to love them. With scheduled flights for each kiddo through the week.

The Halo theme but it’s in the plant tank

This was done almost a year ago based around headcanons and that scene from TriStamp Episode 12. Since plants respond to music, I figured that Plants could use songs to connect with one another. Thus, Vash and Ari have a specific song that they sing to each other, which both calms them down and helps them find each other if they wander off.

They also have a special tune they occasionally hum/vocalize when they’re “ready” for their partner.

Ok so, we all know that wolfwood had to go through experiments to became what he is, so i thought to make this s/o also had to (or at least something similar)

All the gang (i mean, wolfwood, livio, elendira, etc, including the reader) are freaks that were made in a shaddy lab

Vash and Nai were made by Rem as a new life form (with love and care, obviusly). They want to help all these "altered people" and figure out a way to live happily along the world again, with our two main monsters falling for each other.
